The area was once one of the richest gold mining locations in California. While Dutch Flat was originally settled by miners, it first gained prominence as an important stagecoach stop, making it one of the largest and most important towns in Placer County from 1864-66.
Founded in the 1970s, the Dutch Flat RV Resort has been a family-run business for over 40 years. Originally a small campground with only a few tent sites, it has since grown to become one of the premier camping destinations in California.

Nestled in the heart of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, Dutch Flat RV Resort Campground offers breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. Our 80-acre property is surrounded by towering trees and a nearby pristine creek that's perfect for wading and gold panning. We offer a variety of camping options, from tent sites to RV hookups and cozy cabins.
